CHOOSEING A PROJECT AND SOURCES OF INSPIRATION

Research Research Research. Okay Now CG that looks like CG is pretty dull, and all the cool kids try their hardest to make it kinda unidentifyable in terms of its makeing. Also many comic-books or graphic-novels have or are being turned into feature films or 3d feature films, I have included some images for us to look at and discuss. Another great source of inspiration can be fine artists, trying to realise the look of their paintings can give great results in 3d.

Now the classic thing to do to get a job in the fx industry is to film some of the real world and then create and stick in seamlessly a cg thing, in a photorealsitic style. But we are not going to do that, you all seem to be useing cartoon styles so lets try to push these and make them look as good as possible. Now you all may be the greatest artists or not but a great way of doing a project like this is to take some previously created characters and world, done by some top person and re-create these in 3d, it is the kind of thing that an employer would love.
